The logical configuration for a C-plane performance test is shown in Figure 1. The eNB (DUT = Device Under Test) connects to the S1/X2-SIM via four GbE interfaces. Two of the interfaces are used for X2-C connections, simulating the connection of two eNBs in the E-UTRAN. The other two are used for S1-C connections, and simulate the connection to two MMEs in the Core Network.
